Description
This 17th century substantial family run estate and retreat centre occupies 19 acres of gardens and grounds in the picturesque Kent countryside, comprising of a handsome family house, yoga studio and 8 outbuildings.
Our scope includes the sensitive internal refurbishment to the main house which has undergone little improvement over recent decades. By upgrading the fittings and finishes, we aim to create a space with personality and flair, all the while ensuring that it withstands the demands of family life. The retrofit and restoration works will take every opportunity use traditional detailing that respects the historic qualities and identity while weaving modern elements that revive this family home.
The design will be supported by ambitious sustainable technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of the property, discretely integrating it within the historic fabric of the building.
